What is the difference between the SKYTRAK Launch Monitor and the new SKYTRAK ST+?

The primary difference lies in the technology and data captured:

SKYTRAK (Original): Uses an advanced photometric (camera) system to accurately measure ball data (speed, spin, launch angle, etc.). It is highly accurate and ideal for indoor use.


SKYTRAK ST+: Combines the photometric camera system with Dual Doppler Radar. This dual technology allows the ST+ to accurately measure both ball data AND club data (club speed, club path, face angle), offering more comprehensive insights for serious game improvement both indoors and outdoors.


Is the Launch Monitor included with a Studio Package?

No. The Launch Monitor (either the SKYTRAK or SKYTRAK ST+) is sold separately from the Studio Packages. Our Studio Packages include the enclosure, screen, hitting mat, and projector—everything you need except the launch monitor itself. You must add the launch monitor of your choice to your order to complete your simulator setup.


How accurate is the SKYTRAK technology?

The SKYTRAK platform is widely recognized for its accuracy. The ST+ model, in particular, boasts precision within 2 yards of the industry's leading professional launch monitors that cost significantly more. It provides accurate, commercial-grade data to power your practice and simulation experience.


Sizing, Setup, and Compatibility

How much space do I need for a full Golf Studio?

While our studios come in various sizes (e.g., 8', 10', 12', 13' Deep), we generally recommend the following minimum requirements for comfortable and safe usage:

Ceiling Height: Ideally 9 to 10 feet or more.

Width: At least 10 feet wide.

Depth: At least 15 feet from the back tee to the screen.


Important: Always take several slow practice swings in your designated space with your longest club (driver) before installation to ensure you have adequate, safe clearance.


Is my computer or mobile device compatible?

Compatibility depends on whether you use the older or newer SKYTRAK app and simulation software. We highly recommend using the Recommended specifications for the best simulation experience:

PC: Windows 10 (64-bit), Intel Core i7, 8 GB RAM, NVidia GTX 1650 / AMD Radeon 580.

macOS / iOS: Apple M1 chip or newer (MacBook Pro or iPad Pro only) running macOS 13 Ventura or newer.


Are the Studio Packages difficult to install?

No. Our Studio Packages feature an Easy Build Frame system designed for quick and straightforward assembly. Most customers can have the frame and screen set up in under an hour. We provide detailed setup guides with every purchase.

- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

- Software, subscriptions, and accessories are non-refundable.

What warranty is included with the Launch Monitor?

All SKYTRAK Launch Monitors come with the manufacturer's warranty, which is typically a 6-month warranty or 25,000 shots, whichever comes first, covering manufacturing defects. Physical damage or tampering voids the warranty. We will assist you in initiating any claims with the manufacturer.
